Francis Xavier Norton is a theatre-maker, composer/musician, painter, and educator with directing and acting credits all over the Boston area. Favorite directing credits include: Cymbeline (Rebel Shakespeare, also sound designer), Between Riverside and Crazy (Assistant Director, SpeakEasy Stage Company), and Richard III (Assistant Director, Actors’ Shakespeare Project). Recent acting credits include: Poins/ Clarence /Northumberland in SHAKESPEARE’S HENRY IV for Praxis Stage, Man 2 in THE OK DIARIES for Blue Spruce Theatre, and they are a resident actor of Kidstage (Citystage at the Boston Children’s Museum) and the Bok Players (Harvard Square). They are also an educator for Citystage/Lyric Stage’s Spotlit program. They were a finalist for the KCACTF SDC fellowship in 2017, a KCACTF dramaturgy nominee for 2017, as well as the recipient of a special recognition in the arts, and a Who’s Who award from Salem State University. They hold a BFA in theatre performance from Salem State University.
